Restoring these classic garden buildings isn’t simple; it requires a real commitment to quality workmanship to maintain the original features and
fittings. Our workshop staff pride themselves in giving these superbly made garden antiques a second life.
Boulton and Paul manufactured a number of different revolving summerhouse models at their factory in Norwich; we often have various examples undergoing restoration or available to purchase.

We actively encourage clients to follow the restoration of their chosen Boulton and Paul revolving summerhouse.
As a committed buyer you will be invited to our workshop to meet the restorer and follow the process.
When the time comes you will then be able to choose paint colours and any additional features you may require.
The cost of the summerhouses reflects the man hours spent on the restoration but also varies dependent on the rarity of the model. We currently have summerhouses ranging from £4500 to £12900.
If we do not have the model you require you are welcome to place your name on a waiting list; if we cannot obtain it immediately we will contact you when we do.

- Fully deconstruct the summerhouse before restoration.
- All lead paint removed to bare wood on panels, windows and doors.
- Use of square head bolts and slot head screws to look contemporary
- No wood filler used and wood replaced only where absolutely necessary.
- Where it is necessary wood is replaced with reclaimed close-grained wood.
- Turntable ring support boards replaced in oak for increased longevity.
- Roofing felt replaced.

If you have a Boulton and Paul summerhouse you wish to sell, send us some detailed photographs and once assessed we will offer
you a fair price based on its condition and our knowledge of the market. Our buyer will then visit you and view the summerhouse. If the condition etc. is as appraised you will be paid immediately and the summerhouse will be removed leaving the site tidy.
